Mantadia National Park, Madagascar

Mantadia National Park was created in the 1990s and lies roughly 20km north of better known Perinet. Due to its considerably larger size (10,0000 ha) and untouched primary rainforest, Mantadia's wildlife is more diverse than Perinet. Indri, Diademed sifakas, black-and-white ruffed lemurs can be found in Mantadia -- though seeing these animals will require some effort on sometimes steep and narrow trails. Watch for leeches -- especially after rains.
